partytime

I’m also having a party at my new place for all home decorating lovers. I’ve invited some girlfriends… these are the invites I’m sending out. wxhepi.jpg

Sophie’s shower

a good friend of mine just had her third girl and i’ve decided to make invitations for her shower. I took some pictures of her and baby first and then altered them with patterened scrapbooking paper and paint. If anyone would like me to make invites for them… just let me know I love it!v858d5.jpg

fairy princess

aitphy.jpgxjtvsw.jpg these two portraits were my first two of this series of altered photos. My daughter is an inspiration to my work… everything she does is so real! I love to capture the essance of her personality behind camera and add dept and texture with mixed media; stiching fibers and painted strokes. Elizabeth along with other children are so much fun (inspirational) to work with because they are free from inhibition which makes the photos so pure. I wish to be like a child…

portraits

mommy and medaddy’s little girl These portraits have evoled from my love of fine arts and new desire for documenting my family heritage in scrapbooks. I believe there is a fine line between caft and art and these portraits are walking that line (dangerous) :)

If you would like one, let me know. i think i could make some copies for $15 each or custum design for a little more.rain dress

summer splash

dcfc0034.jpgdcfc0021.jpgdcfc0011.jpgdcfc0024.jpg i think that elizabeth needs to stay here forever in idaho to be close to such great friends… if i didn’t miss my family so much, maybe.

mommies little girl

her and me i’ve been so buzy finishing my keepsakes contest, moving and working– to spend much time with my little girl. Today after church i spent the afternoon with elizabeth. i even fell asleep in her bed during nap time, she woke me up playing with my hair and begging me to play with her. We organized her new room, colored in her many coloring books, read stories and rocked eachother to sleep again. i never thought i could love anyone this much… it helps me understand God’s love for me.

inspired

selfportrait i woke this morning too early… wanting to paint and splash color all over the place. color is an aray of emotions and deep sensations i feel in my heart. this next week i have to paint over my yellow/blue/purple/green/pink walls— my least favorite color (white). Although, i am excited about moving into our bigger and remodeled rental- just around the corner. That means mavis and i can still exchange kids in the blink of an eye, if need be. i’m also excited about having my own scraping area, as oposed to my living room floor or my husband’s computer desk. these last few weeks have been the worst, i’ve been manic about completing all my layouts for keepsake scrapbooker of the year contest. Billy’s desk has all my glue stains and tiny pieces of scrap paper i can’t seem to disgard, unfinished projects in every corner and i’ve squandered several things from the trash that he thought were clutter. i haven’t taken any new pictures of my little princess lately, therefore i’m dedicating this weekend to the family. i’m going to relax and enjoy being a mother-wife-sister and friend.
